Art and Life

To be free in art is like falling rain. It refreshes and promotes growth. It expands life so it may reach the shores which are perhaps unreachable in everyday life. It bypasses the frailty of life and opens up possibilities and new horizons.

I am free in art. No matter what life presents, I feel free in art. It is a blessing like the peaceful white light of the morning and the majestic red light of the evening that nourishes, energises and gives rest. It takes me beyond everyday life into new and far reaching horizons.

I paint on silk as it is soft and has a strong and flexible surface to work on. Silk also has an ingrained shine which adds lustre to its beauty.

Nature is a wonderful source of healing beauty for me and it is this beauty I feel that I wish to share and pass on through my work. I hope my paintings will provide you too with the reach of new horizons.
